Has anyone thought they were in menopause but turned out to be pregnant? If so can you give me some details.?

My mother thought this - but she was pregnant with me. She had two periods that were little more than spotting, and when she started to get a belly she thought she was just getting fat. She went to the doctor with the pretense of getting on hormone replacement and they did an u/s that day. She was already 14 weeks!
