What kind of snowboard would i want?

Since you are a beginner I would highly recommend a Lib Tech/Gnu/Roxy board. They all are own by the same company and utilize the same technology. Rocker will make you catch your edge less and the magne-traction will give your better edge hold and turning. Checkout the Roxy ollie pop. I would also recommend the Capita saturnia, midnight, or space metal fantasy. Whether the board is freestyle, freeride, or all mountain wouldn't make much of a difference since you are a beginner but freestyle board would be a bit easier to control because they are a bit softer than others. For binding get a pair of Unions, anyone would do but ideally get a pair of trilogy's. And for boots just get whatever is in your budget and is comfy.
