You need to contact Deptartment of Human Services, and a lawyer/attourney. There must be a reason why you want to get gaurdianship. If the child is in harms ways, contact DHS first. Unfortunatly, alot of times, if the grandparents are ove a certain age, or widowed, this prevents the law from placing the child in their care, and therefore the child is sent to live with foster care. But if you have a good lawyer, and end up in court, you could win this.
